Our services

Ahauz offers a home finance service and a home equity tracker service. The equity tracker service allows you to check the value of the equity you hold in your home and track it over time.

The home equity tracker service is provided for your personal use and for informational purposes only. It is not intended to be used as a substitute for professional financial or legal advice, and you should not rely on the information provided by our service to make any financial decisions. You are solely responsible for any decisions you make based on the information provided by our service.

To access the service, you need to register for an account. As part of this service, we perform a soft credit search to obtain information that will enable us to provide you with an accurate estimate of your home equity.

What is a “soft credit search”?

To provide you with the home equity tracker service, a soft credit check will be conducted on your credit file by us or our service providers. This search will not be visible to other lenders and will not have any impact on your credit score.

How often and for how long will a “soft credit check” be performed?

When you register with us, you authorise us to ask credit reference agencies for your credit data. This authorisation is called a “limited subject access request” and is made under section 13 of the Data Protection Act 2018 and article 15 of the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). To do this, we share some of your personal details with the credit reference agency, such as your name, date of birth and address.

As long as you continue to use our services, soft credit checks will be performed monthly. However, if you do not log in to your account for more than 364 days, we will consider you an inactive user. The soft credit checks will stop being performed, as we will discontinue providing you with our service and close and delete your account.

Before deleting your account, we will send you an email to inform you of our intention to do so. If we do delete your account, we may retain records or data pertaining to you in compliance with our Privacy Policy.

Per our Privacy Policy, we work with Credit Reference Agencies, namely TransUnion. TransUnion is TransUnion International UK Limited, a company registered in England and Wales with the number 3961870 and registered office at One Park Lane, Leeds, West Yorkshire, LS3 1EP. TransUnion International UK Limited, part of the TransUnion Information Group, is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority under registration number 737740. If you want to find out more about how TransUnion uses your information, you can review their privacy notice.

At your request, we may make a referral to a third party, such as a mortgage intermediary, who can assist you with your financial needs. Please note that any such referral made by us is for your convenience only and does not constitute any endorsement or recommendation of the third party or its products and services. We do not guarantee the quality or suitability of any products or services provided by third parties that we may refer you to, and we are not responsible for any advice, services or products provided by them. If you decide to take a product or service from a third party that we have referred you to, we may receive a commission from that third party. However, we do not make any referrals based on the assumption of securing any commission.

If you do not want us to perform soft credit searches as part of our service, you can choose to opt-out by emailing us at info@ahauz.com or deleting your account. Please note that if you opt-out, we may be unable to provide you with our full range of services.

Please note that the home finance service offered by Ahauz is subject to separate terms and conditions, which you will need to agree to if you choose to use it.
